John Brian
Carter
October 28, 1955 – November 29, 2020
John Brian Carter, 65, of Fredericton NB passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020. John was born in Woodstock NB on October 28, 1955 son of the late Bruce and Anna Carter.
John is survived by his wife, Wanda Grieve-Carter, daughter, Tammy, son, John David (Sarah), grandchildren, Stella, Asher, Tommy, sisters, Mable Everett (Fred), Sharon Antworth (Howard), brothers, Carol Carter (Gwen), Mark Carter (Mary), several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by a brother, David.
John started his towing company, AA Towing 39 years ago. He was a hard worker, and everyone knew it. He always had a phone (sometimes two) to his ear. With his many years in business, wheeling and dealing was something he was known for. He could sell ice to a polar bear. The company he worked so hard at, for many years, he was most proud of the day he handed it down to his son John David.
He married his sweetheart Wanda. The 3 years they were married, they made the most of everyday. They kept busy, whether it be traveling to Florida in the RV to enjoy the sun or traveling to other places to visit with friends.
He would probably say his most prized possession would be his three grandchildren. Whether it was having them for a sleepover and spoiling them with treats, or camping in the RV in the summer, enjoying Hartts Island pool, he just loved having them around.
He was the most kind and generous man. If you saw John Carter walking into the restaurant you were at, you knew your bill was covered. He loved picking up peoples tabs. At times, if he thought you were going through a rough time, he would step up in any way he could.
He was a member of Sunset Church (now HopeCity) for many years, but most recently became a member of Cornerstone church.
