Obituary

Jeremy Dove Dickinson, born August 26, 1980, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. He grew up in Hartland, NB, where he developed a deep love for the outdoors and a lifelong passion for sports. Standing at 6'7", Jeremy was instantly recognizable, and he met every "Do you play basketball?" with his own quiet humour. His height also made him a familiar helper in grocery stores, where he was frequently approached to reach items from the top shelves, something he always did with a smile.

More than anything, Jeremy was devoted to his son, Nicklas. His greatest joy was the time they spent together golfing, sliding in the winter, building snowmen, swimming in the summers, and going on camping trips that became cherished memories. He took pride in teaching Nicklas new skills, sharing his curiosity, and being present for every moment they had together. Jeremy's love for his son shaped every part of who he was.

Jeremy was kind, thoughtful, and happiest when helping others. Whether at home fixing whatever needed fixing, or at work guiding the people he led, he approached everything with patience and a desire to be of service. He spent much of his professional life as a project manager and foreman, known fondly as "Tallman", taking genuine pride in his work and in the teams, he taught and supported. His colleagues knew him as someone passionate about doing things well and doing them right.

He carried a deep love for his family and often worried about their well-being. He was especially close with his mother and shared a bond with her that stayed constant throughout his life. He also treasured his grandmother, Gerda Dove, and loved her deeply to this day; we all take solace in knowing he is now with her. He treasured the relationship with his brother as well, and the connection they shared meant a great deal to him. Jeremy also held a deep affection for Brenda and David Dickinson, who were like a second family to him and remained an important part of his life.

Jeremy is survived by his son, Nicklas Dickinson; his parents, Sanna and Sterling Floyd; stepfather, Roger Dickinson; brother, Josh Dickinson; stepsisters, Emily, Alice, and Krista Floyd; his nieces and nephews, Sage, Matilda, Lyla, Everett, and Ozzie; several aunts and uncles; and friend, Nathalie Moreau.

A celebration of life will be held at HMCS BRUNSWICKER, 1 Navy Way, Saint John, New Brunswick, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, 7 December 2025. There will be no viewing or funeral service.
