Obituary

Sadly on the evening of November 29 th , Jean-Pierre Lafontaine (JP) of Carleton Manor Woodstock NB went to his heavenly home. Born in Maniwake, Quebec on February 14, 1951 to the late Joseph and Reina (Comtois) LaFontaine. The family later setteled in Val-'dor Quebec.

At 18 years of age he joined the Canadian Navy and served for 5 years. The last 32 years he was a long haul truck driver. JP met Jodi in Winnipeg and married in Woodstock NB in 2015.

JP is survived by his wife, Jodi Harder-LaFontaine of Woodstock NB, Sons Eric (Tanya) and Marc both of Winnipeg MB. His granddaughter, Nelligan, Along with sisters Diane (Marcel), Estelle, Manon, Carole (Pierre), brothers, Andre (Jerry), Henri, Alfred (Lorraine), Daniel. Sisters in Law Sylvie Rochfort and Elise Mayrand. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special mention  to his blue bunny Roxanne

Besides his parents JP was predeceased by two brothers Arsene and Gaston, sisters in law Helene Cloutier and Francine Simard.

There will be no visitation but the public is invited to a memorial service on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10 AM at The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville. Interment will be held at a later date in Val'dor Quebec.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Living Memorial Fund.
