It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Roberta Hickey of Woodstock, Thursday April 3, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville at the age of 86.

Jean was born in Allendale NB on July 14, 1938, to the late Willis and Madeline (Gibson) MacMaster.

She is survived by her sons Keith (Lisa) Hickey and Brent Hickey, Grandchildren, Joel (Neneth) Hickey, Daniel Hickey, Caleb (Sheila), Laurisa, Nizar El-Mansouri-Hickey, Step Grand daughter Dahab El-Mansoury, Great Grandson Malachi and Jazz, Sisters, Shirley Delong, Carole Walker, Dorene Pickel, Patricia (Lloyd) Culberson, Brothers, Willis Jr (Diane) MacMaster and Leslie (Lila) MacMaster, several Nieces and Nephews.

Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband Robert Hickey, Son Karl Hickey, sisters Mary Brooks, Audrey Rosborough, brothers, Aulder MacMaster, Arthur MacMaster, Lloyd MacMaster and Gale MacMaster.

Jean was a strong woman; she became a widow in 1964 and raised her 3 sons on her own. She was a hard worker, a wonderful cook.

Jean was a woman of great faith; she loved the Lord, and she loved going to church. She thought the world of her grandchildren and loved them dearly.

She loved family gathering, cooking, puzzles, going for drives and eating out. She was well known for her homemade donuts.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 11 at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road from 5 to 8 PM.

Service will be held on Sunday April 27, 2025, at 2PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel with interment at the Wakefield Cemetery.
