Obituary

Jacqueline Alice McGaughey (Killam), 88, of Richmond Settlement passed away at the Carleton Manor on Thursday, November 28, 2019. Jackie was born in Woodstock, NB August 14, 1931 to the late Clayton and Eva Killam (Hawkins).

Jackie is survived by her only daughter, Lynn McLaughlin(Allan), nieces Pam Morin(Gary) Myrtle Beach, SC, Barb Farmer(Dave), Lower Sackville NS, Bob Maxwell(Joanne) Kentville NS and Allan Maxwell, Kentville, NS.

Besides her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her husband Leonard, son-in-law Claus, Sisters Barb Clark, Shirley Maxwell, Betty Killam, and Ann Virgie

Jackie loved to travel and was especially fond of Germany and Switzerland, but an outing to Bangor was never refused as her and Leonard were always looking for unique train parts for his collection. Mom was an avid supporter of the Carleton County Animal Shelter and was known to be on the constant hunt for donations of any kind for the shelter, and never refused money, help or gifts in kind.

Lynn would like to thank the Carleton Manor staff for their amazing care, love and compassion that they showed Mom in the years that she lived at the manor.

By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Carleton Manor Foundation or an animal shelter or rescue to the donor's choice would be appreciated.
