Jacob Brinkman, 87, of Woodstock, formally of Avondale, passed away April 18, 2018 from the Carleton Manor with family by his side. Born in Holland, he is the son of the late Peter and Trijtje (Dokter) Brinkman.

Jacob is survived by his Wife Rose (Hourihan), children, Robert (Karen) of Caroline, AB, Sandra Brunton (Bob) of Houlton, ME, Karl (Sharon)of Avondale, NB, Maureen Brinkman (Tom) of Debec, NB, grandchildren, Donald (Caitlyn) of California, Michael Hayes (Lisa) of Rosedale, Tyler Foster (Diana) of Calgary, Sarah Foster (Jason) of Woodstock, Wilson of Alberta, Katelyn (Paul) of Montreal, Marlee Brinkman (Steve) of Alberta,  great- grandchildren, Bryttnie, Thomas, Braydon, Alexa, Natlie, Reagan, Wyatt and 4 nieces.

Besides his parents, Jacob is predeceased by his brother in- law and sister- in- law, James and Fern Hourhan.

A private memorial service will be held under the care and direction of The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB. Burial will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the River Valley Support Group, DunRoamin Stray and Rescue Fund or to the IWK Children's Hospital.
