It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Davenport-Shaw, on Monday, April 18th, 2022. Born on February 22, 1953, to the late Lila (Ruff) and Gordon Davenport of Holmesville NB. Gloria is survived by her husband Jerry Shaw; Son David (Hilary) Demerchant; Two Grandchildren Dawson and Deacon Demerchant; Step children Trevor (Tammy) Shaw, Roxane (Shane) Walton; Step grandchildren Alicia, Joshua and Billy; siblings Russell (Nadine) Davenport, Jeannie (Richard) Rousselle, Charlie (Josephine) Davenport, Dawn Davenport; Nieces and Nephews whom she adopted as grandchildren: Adam, Krissy, Walker, and JJ, and step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by two brothers, Louie and Philip Davenport. Mom attended school in Holmesville NB, and worked at McCain Foods in Florenceville for 9 years before completing her GED. After that, she took the nurses assistant course, and went to work at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland for 15 years before retiring. She was a hard worker, and dedicated to her grandchildren. They were her world, and she loved them with all her heart. Moms hobbies included swimming, fishing, reading, walking, painting, crocheting, sewing, embroidering, and drawing. Most will remember her for her love of quilting and preserving foods. Moms kind nature will forever be in our hearts. She will be remembered for all the kind things she has done for others, and will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
