Obituary

Glenna Agatha (Green) Antworth, 94, of Woodstock, formally of Centerville, NB., passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018.

Born on February 1, 1924, in Summerfield, NB she was the daughter of the late Earl Edgar (1966) and Jennie Wynona (Beach) Green (1976).

Glenna is predeceased by husband Philip Leon Antworth (2013), brother Rev. George William Green (1983), and sister Bertie Agnes (Gee) Antworth (2017).

Glenna taught school for 24 years in several Carleton County schools - Tracey Mills, Wicklow, Coldstream, Wakem, and Centreville.  She was an important part of the farm work, providing dozens of big meals for working men and always looked after the business part of the farm.

She was a member of Knoxford Praying Band Church from around 1950 and served as Sunday School teacher and Secretary/Treasurer of the Sunday School for many years.

She kept a diary for over 75 years – a great source of records of deaths, births, marriages, and the weather.

Glenna is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
