We extend sincere sympathy to the family of Glenn William Thornton who passed away on Wednesday October 25, 2023, at the Carleton Manor at the age of 73.

Glenn was born in Woodstock NB on April 2, 1950, to the late Wendell and Irma Thornton.

Glenn is survived by his wife Jane (Farrell) Thornton, Daughter Sandee (Corey), Son Scott (Stephanie) grandson Derrick Dow, Step Grandchildren Blake, Abigil and Nathan, sister Judy Bacon, sister in law Patricia Thornton,  as well as many nieces and Nephews.

Besides his parents Glenn was predeceased by his brother Peter Thornton.

Glenn was a member of the Woodstock Fire Department for many years as well as a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was employee with the Town of Woodstock Public Works department from where he retired.

Glenn was referred to as "Uncle Buzz" from some of his family members.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Carleton Manor for the wonderful care while a resident there. Many referred to Glenn as "Grumpy".

Visitation will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home on Sunday October 29, 2023, from 5 to 8PM.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday October 30 at 2PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel, Interment will follow at the Kirk Cemetery.
