It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald (Jerry) Percy James McKay on Wednesday December 3, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 72.

Jerry was born to Fern and Percy James at the Fredericton Hospital on November 29, 1953.

Jerry's mom Fern passed away when he was a few months old. Percy made a loving and caring decision for Jerry to have another loving family. Fern's sister Rowena and husband John McKay adopted Jerry into their family of 3 boys, who became his brothers Robert, Kenny and Jack. Jerry was loved and cared for by many family members.

Jerry is survived by his brothers David (Clara)James, Dwayne (Jacqueline) James, many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and extended family members.

Jerry will be sadly missed by the James family & friends.

Funeral service will be held at Carleton Funeral Home Chapel, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville on Wednesday December 10, 2025, at 2PM.

Interment will be at the Hayes Settlement Cemetery at a later date.
