Gerald (Jerry) Hovey, 65, of Ottawa, ON passed away March 21, 2019. Jerry had a seven month battle with cancer, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Ottawa, ON.

Jerry was born in Woodstock, NB, October 31, 1953, son of the late Charles and Evelyn Hovey.

Jerry is survived by one sister, Velma Tracey, brother-in-law, Douglas, sister-in-law's, Gloria Hovey, and Bernie Beck, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his Parents, Jerry was predeceased by his brothers, Wayne, Brian and sister, Lorraine.

By request there will be no visitation or funeral service, a graveside service and interment will be held at a later date at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa.

I would like to give special thanks to Doctors, nurses and cleaning staff at St Vincent's Hospital, also sister-in-law, Gloria, and niece Stacey Hovey for their many trips,  reports and FaceTime's, that kept me connected to Jerry.
