It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Fulton A. Grant of Jacksonville NB and formerly of Canterbury, NB on Saturday March 30, 2024, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 87.

Fulton was born on February 16, 1937, to the late Harold and Mildred (Wright) Grant. Fulton loved gardening and looking after his flowers and the lawns. He enjoyed music, dancing, catching his favourite sports on TV and spending time with friends. Fulton will always be remembered for his love and passion for the woods. Most of all, Fulton loved his family.

Fulton is survived by his wife of 21 years Ada Gibson (Young), sons Gregory (Ann), Preston (June), daughter Jane Jones (Kevin), grandchildren Jamie (Charlee), Joel, Asha, Phoebe and Maya along with 4 great grandchildren and  his sisters , Zula Love (Ed), Janet C Grant (David), Shirley Cloutier, Sheila Grant McInnis, and Tina Madore (Kevin) and also several nieces and nephews.

Fulton was a wonderful and cherished step-father and was loved dearly by his step-children William Gibson (Theresa), Audrey Gervais (Cleo) and Ann Sharpe (Roy), along with grandsons, Scott, Mitch (Jaime), Kyle (Emma) and Kirby (Jenna) and 4 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Fulton was predeceased by his beloved wife Muriel (Cummings) (d. 1999), their son, Christopher, sisters Esta Corey, Marie Nicholson and Lavina Berube.

In keeping with Fulton's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service, Interment will take place at a later date.

If so desired, donations in Fulton's memory can be made to the Jacksonville United Church of Canada.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Upper River Valley Hospital for the excellent care they gave Fulton and the support they gave the family.
