Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Floyd John Price, On Friday April 7, 2023, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 82, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Floyd was Predeceased by his mother and father, Flora (Darroch) and Donville Price, brother John and sister Donna, also daughter in law Karen.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 59 years, son Devin, grandchildren, Tyler and Jordyn Price, sister Joan (Duma), Barbara Spear ( John) , Margaret (Williams),sister-in-law Lorna Price, sister-in-law Joan Wiebe, brother in law Doug Ferguson, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and friends.

Floyd was born in Woodstock on February 9, 1941, he started working at the age of 14 years of age and from this young age he developed his strong work ethic and strong will that he carried with him for the rest of his life.

Floyd was a dedicated, loving and patient father, husband and loyal friend to many.

During the course of his life, he worked at many jobs, including farming, mining, the army, truck driving and back to farming.

Floyd met Dorothy in Winnipeg in 1963, where they got married. They moved to Thompson MB, then to Woodstock and finally settled back in Jacksonville.

A special thank you to the nursing staff, cleaners, Doctors and NBCC students at 2 North at the Upper River valley Hospital, Dr Katie Goodine and her staff, Dr. Hennessey in Fredericton for all their care and attention to Floyd and his family through these tough times. Also, a special thank you to Wendy Quartermain, an amazing member of our family, who helped give Floyd the best care possible.

A visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville on Friday April 14th from 1 until 2PM.

Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 2PM, interment will be at the Lower Jacksonville Cemetery at a later date.

If so desired, donations in Floyd's memory can be made to Alzheimer's Society, Lower Jacksonville Cemetery Fund, or charity of Donors Choice would be appreciated by the family.
