The death of Ferne Georgia Sorrell, wife of the late Ernest A. Sorrell, occurred at the Upper River Valley Hospital on September 2, 2010. Ferne was born in Summerfield, NB to the late Ernest G. and Hazel (Antworth) Brown. She is survived by; her daughters Barb Sorrell(Philip Hicks), of Brookville, NB, and Linda Waugh(Aubrey) of Temperance Vale, NB; grandchildren Robert, Sarah and Freeman; great-grandchildren Tristen, Owen, Rye and Madison; sisters Audrey Love and Geraldine Donovan; her brother Willie Bell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. As well as her husband Ernest, Ferne was predeceased by her parents; sisters Geneva Stoddard and Charlotte Bell, and brother Leslie Bell. A visitation will take place at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Rd, Jacksonville, on Saturday, September 4, 2010 where friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Steve Urquart and Pastor Eldon Hicks will officiate.
