Ervin Perley McHatten, 71, of Wakefield, NB, passed away on Sunday, October 02, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Ervin was born in Wakefield, NB, on July 13, 1940, son of the late Perley and Ella (Sharpe) McHatten.

Ervin is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth (Dickinson) McHatten, son; Glendon McHatten (Angela), granddaughter; Nicole Long (Sheldon), great grandbaby Long, granddaughter; Marley Anderson (Kyle), great grandsons, Calvin and Cohen, daughter; Gail Lundbohm (Leonard), granddaughter; Abigayle and grandson; Alexander; sisters; Etta Whitehouse (Allison), Amy Clowes (Lawrence), Aunt, Geraldine Sharpe, nieces; Carolyn Lapage, Cheryl Hamilton, Janet Whitehouse, nephew, Virgil, several, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ervin was predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville, NB on Tuesday, October 4, from 5 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 11 AM from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Wakefield Greenbank Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wakefield Greenbank Cemetery, Wakefield Freewill Baptist Church or to the Extra Mural Program.
