It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eric Joseph Maher, aged 72, at Upper River Valley Hospital on September 6, 2024, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 30, 1951, Eric lived a life marked by love, resilience, and dedication to his family.

He is deeply missed by his three loving children: Crystal Adams (David), Jason Maher and Shania Maher (Tyler Wilchowy), who will always carry his memory in their hearts. Eric was a proud and devoted Papa to his cherished grandchildren: Avery, Wesley, Evan Adams, and Anson, Roman Maher.

Eric is survived by his siblings: Margaret, Joanie, Carmel and Danny. He is predeceased by his parents, Eveline Dea and Hulley Maher, and his siblings Bert, Blanche, Reggie, Shirley, Doreen, Rufus, and Patrick.

Eric's kindness, humor, and love will be remembered by all who knew him, and his legacy lives on through his family.

May he rest in eternal peace.

As per Eric's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 11, 2024, at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB from 6 to 8PM.
