The passing of Elva Muriel Monteith of Mapledale NB occurred on Monday April 25, 2005 at her residence at the age of 98. Born in Cumberland Bay NB she was the daughter of the late Tilley and Ella (Brownlow) Parker. Elva is survived by her Daughters: Muriel Delong, Winsle PEI, Betty Smart (Raymond), Northampton NB, Elaine Murray (Martin), Mapledale NB, Sons: Earl (Margaret) Charleston NB, Lewis McKenzie Corner NB. Twenty-one grandchildren, Thirty-six great grand children and a sister Bertha Langin Woodstock NB and several nieces and nephews. Elva was predeceased by here husband Robert, brothers: Arthur and Willis, and Sisters: Verna, Ella, and Ethel. Visitation for Elva Muriel Monteith will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Thursday April 28 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held on Friday April 29, 2005 from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 3 PM with Rev. Ed Sealy officiating. Burial to follow in the Kirk Cemetery Northampton NB. As of expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Extra Muriel Fund or the Red Cross. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Carleton Funeral Home Jacksonville.
