Edward William
Carter
August 25, 1962 – January 4, 2024
It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Edward (Eddie) William Carter, of Bloomfield on January 4, 2024, at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville at the age of 61.
Edward was born in Bath NB on August 25, 1962, to the late Howard and Eldora (Carr) Carter.
He is survived by his sister Carolyn (Dale) Paterson, brother Owen (Vicki) Carter, Brother -in Law Murray Crain, Special aunt and uncle Viola and Dyllis Cote, Nephews and Nieces, Michael Carter (Hannah), Mitchell Carter, (Macy), Jonathan (Sylvia) Paterson, Sarah (Blake) Hatt, Curtis (Kayla) Crain, Hilary (Joe) Palmer, Hope Crain, Brandon (Nadine) Crain, as well as several cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Edward was predeceased by a sister Debbie Crain.
Eddie spent his life working in the woods. For many years he used horses to yard wood. He spent his time working the land. He raised cattle on his family farm, planted and harvested oats. Each year he would plant a garden. He worked his own farm machinery and could always be found outside tending to the cows and making sure his machinery was in tip top shape.
Eddie treated his nephews and nieces like his children. He could always be found with Curtis working around the farm and later on with Michael and Mitchell by his side. Each Christmas he took the time to buy his nephews and nieces gifts.
He had a boisterous sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He could find the good in most situations and made friends wherever he went.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday January 7, 2024, at the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB at 2PM.
Interment will be at a later date at the Upper Bloomfield Cemetery.
