Over a five-year span, Jeep and his comrades helped protect a variety of nations around the globe on the HMCS Iroquois, HMCS Huron and also sailed on the aircraft carrier HMCS Magnificent until he met Norma MacBurnie while on leave back home. Jeep was lucky enough to find a close friend and companion in Carol Black and her son Evan.

Jeep was pre-deceased by his loving wife by 37 years and he longed for the day when he would be with her again. He was also pre-deceased by his parents and brothers Vernon, Bryan, Eulikem. He has one surviving sister, Janice Crowe living in Hilden, NS.
