Dorothy M. Jones, 69, of Lutes Mountain, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, May 15, 2014.  Born in Woodstock, she was the daughter of Myrtle (Johnson) Yerxa of Meductic and the late Reginald Yerxa.

Dorothy was a retired RN in Woodstock and Moncton with over 30 years' service. She was a very active member of Hillside Baptist Church. Her hobbies included card making, scrapbooking, reading and she loved watching sports; but first and foremost was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Myrtle, Dorothy will be sadly missed by her husband of over 45 years, Thomas 'Tom' Jones; children, Jeff Jones of Moncton and Lisa Steeves (Rodney) of Riverview; grandchildren, Dakota and Riley Steeves; sister, Lois Yerxa; brothers, Frank Yerxa (Nancy), Charles Yerxa (Shirley), Allison Yerxa, Christopher Yerxa (Joanne); several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many close friends.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her sister, Edith and brother, Louis.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Hillside Baptist Church on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jerry Reddy officiating. Reception following the service.
