Doris Leah Narrowmore (Anderson) entered into the presence of the Lord September 30, 2025, at the age of 82.
Doris was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and faithful servant of the Lord. She was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. Doris shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God's plan.
On June 14, 1943, Doris was born to the late Banford and Pearl (Lawson) Anderson at their home in Bull Lake, NB.
In 1962, Doris met Darrel while they were both working at banks in Woodstock, NB. They were married later in 1962 and went on to have their two children Andrew and Susan.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Doris loved quilting, playing card games, spending time with family, eating out, the Toronto Blue Jays, watching curling, her many plants, her church and extended church family. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God and worked as the Church Secretary for the Woodstock United Baptist Church for 33 years until her retirement in 2005.
Besides her parents and husband, Doris was predeceased by brother, Carl Anderson, sisters Violet Hickey and Roselle Christie, and her faithful fur companion Jasper.
Doris is survived by many loving family members, including her children, Andy (Mary) and Susan (Gary), Grandchildren Mandy (Andrew), Craig (Caillee), Bethany (Jonathan), Matthew (Kishawna), Ashleigh, Spencer (Lora), Bryan and Ashley, Sister Inez Scott, Sister-in-law Irene (Wilfred) Holmes, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of dear friends.
Visitation will be held from the Carleton Funeral Home Thursday October 2, 2025, from 4 – 8PM.
Funeral Service will be Friday October 3, 2025, 2PM at Carleton Funeral Home Chapel, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, NB.
Interment will follow at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the Woodstock Elk's Lodge 123 Connell Street, Woodstock. where family will greet guests
If so desired, donations in Doris's memory can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, the River Valley Cancer Support Group, or the Carleton County Animal Shelter.
