With deep sadness the family of Donald H. F. Peabody announce his passing on January 5, 2023. Born on October 8, 1941, the son of Art and Adah Peabody.

Don is survived by his wife Diane, daughter Karen, and sons Hazen and Clay, granddaughter Kailie, brothers Stephen, Graham, Syd, sister Louise (Andy) Bell and many nieces and nephews, special daughter in law Debi.

Don was employed by Day and Ross for forty plus years and CJCJ Radio Station, He was nicknamed there as "Tangled Tonsils".

Don was always doing volunteer work. He coached hockey (little league), drove bus for the Shiretowners ball team and did the play by play of their games. Don was a board member of the Sports Wall of Fame for Woodstock, NB Safety Council, received the award for the safety person of the year from Atlantic provinces trucking association, certificate of appreciation for significant contributions to the development and growth of the transportation programs at the NBCC, Woodstock, Worked with Slammers hockey team for many years. His most special thing he did was going to the hospital on Christmas eve as "S.C", visiting each patient and handing each one a candy cane. He also visited some schools and homes.

Don loved music and family jams and was a gifted poet!

Don and I really appreciated  help from our kids and especially our granddaughter Kailie who loved her Grampy dearly and called him each night to tell him she loved him.

There will not be any public visitation or a funeral service at this time.

A private family celebration will be held on Sunday.
