It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dolores J. McBride on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Carleton Manor Nursing Home in Woodstock, N. B. Dolores was born on December 17, 1931, only child of Dean Price and Vera (Babkirk)(Price) Paxton in Woodstock, N. B. She was lovingly raised by her grandparents William and Alice Babkirk.

Dolores is survived by her daughter Heather Sharpe (Michael), Milton, Ont.; her 3 sons Wayne (Elizabeth), Quispamsis, N. B., Dale (Shirley), Richmond Settlement, N. B., Andrew (Michelle), Calgary, Alta.; grandchildren Tracey Jones (Peter), Tricia McBride, Michelle McBride (Mark Woods), Kelli Mickle (Aaron), Lesley McBride (Thomas Herbreteau), Tyler Sharpe, Ryan Sharpe, Matthew McBride and Madison McBride; great-grandchildren Claire Jones and Rosemary Mickle; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband Donald (1981) and daughter Susan (1997).

Dolores was a life member of the Richmond Corner Women's Institute. Her happiest moments were when she had her family gathered around her table where there was always an endless supply of home-made brown bread, a recipe that was passed down to the next generations.

The family would like to thank the staff of Carleton Manor Nursing Home for the excellent care and compassion shown to Mom over the past year.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, N. B. Visitation will take place at Carleton Funeral Home on Monday, May 29, 2023 starting at 3pm with funeral service following at 4PM.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to IWK or Carleton Manor in Dolores memory.
