Denzil Roy Getson, 84, of Lakeville NB passed away on Sunday, March 02, 2014 at The Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville NB. Denzil was born in Woodvale PEI on April 25, 1929 son of the late Roy and Grace (Hudson) Getson.

Denzil is survived by his brothers; Boyce MacLean (Vivian), London, ON, Lester MacLean, London, ON, Aunt, Edith Vincent, Tignish, PEI, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family at the Birch Haven Special Care Home in Lakeville, NB.

Besides his parents: Denzil was predeceased by his sisters; Grace Plant, Christina Caldwell, brothers; Ross Getson, Albert MacLean, niece, Ruth Gilmore, great niece, Margaret Gilmore and a great nephew, Nicholas Thomas.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM with Pastor Trevor Savage officiating. Interment will be held in the Bloomfield Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CNIB, Lakeville Baptist Church or to a memorial of the donor's choice.
