David Andrew McCorkell

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of David Andrew McCorkell of Skiff Lake NB on Wednesday May 20, 2026, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 69.

David was born in Quebec to the late Leonard and Marilyn McCorkell.

David is survived by his partner Dorothy Leighton, daughter Janet (Richard Foster), grandchildren Zekiel and Jayleigh, sisters, Betty, Hazel and Phyllis, brothers Timmy and Calvin and several Nieces and Nephews. He is also survived by his Sister-In-Law Shawna Grant and Brothers-In-Law Winston, Greg and Kevin Leighton, as well as his Mother-In-Law Patricia Leighton.

Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his brother Eldon and sister Margaret as well as his infant sister Mable and his Father-In-Law Walter Leighton. 

David was a hard-working man, he loved working in the woods and enjoyed the outdoors, David would do whatever he was asked to do for work, and he would do anything for anybody. David was always up for some hunting and fishing and maybe a wheeler ride if asked. You could usually find him spinning the tires off the white ford.

David will be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday May 24, 2026, at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday May 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel.
