Dale has transitioned from his earthly home to his "Forever" home in heaven. He was ready to go, and the family was ready to let him go. The last six years of his life were really challenging health wise.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Albright) of Fredericton. Daughter, Jill (David Kerr) of Woodstock and her children Megan (Jeff Kearney) and Katie Levesque. Step-grandchildren are Sierra, Khloe, and Lucas Kearney. Son, Peter of Woodstock and grandson Jordan of Utah, USA. Brothers, Paul (Gail) of Fredericton, Mike (Jennifer) of Douglas. Brother-in-law Rodger (Carolyn) Albright of Dartmouth NS. Several very special nieces and nephews.

Dale was pre-deceased by his parents, Edwin and Madeline Allen, sister, Sharon Allen, and parents-in-law Hollie & Olive Albright.

Dale and Lorraine moved to Woodstock, NB in 1966. He began a 31-year teaching career, retiring in June 1997. During his years in Woodstock, he volunteered in many community activities and coached baseball and basketball. Also, he was very involved with the congregation at Jacksonville United Church where he was a member.

Special thanks to Dr. Wayne McLaughlin and Sandra Rattray, R.N. for over 50 years of special care. Also, Dr. Gordon McDonald and the palliative care team at DECH for pain management and the York Care Centre extended family of caregivers for the last 4 ½ years. A special "earth angel" was Angie Chapman.

Cremation has taken place, there will be a Celebration of Life Service from Carleton Funeral Home in Jacksonville in mid-May, details to be announced later. If desired, memorial donations can be made to any of the following: Jacksonville United Church, York Care Foundation, Extra Mural Hospital NB (Woodstock Branch) or donor's choice.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 11, 2024 at the Woodstock Wesleyan Church, 340 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB at 2PM, private family interment to follow.
