Corbett
April 12, 1964 – March 30, 2024
The peaceful passing of Cora Sue Corbett of Woodstock New Brunswick occurred on March 30th, 2024, at the Upper River Valley Hospital surrounded by family at the age of 59.
Upon her passing she reunited in heaven with her amazing mother, the late Olive Munn of Boiestown, NB, her baby son Arthur, her sister Patsy Spencer, two nephews, Darrien and Chuck Spencer, and her father in law Joseph Corbett in addition to her grandparents Christina and Desmond Conroy of Taxis River, NB and one great nephew Kyle.
Cora leaves behind a large loving family including her devoted husband Patrick Corbett, her son and best friend, Larry (Kelsey) Munn of Woodstock, and her "pride and joy" grandson Dragon Munn.
Cora has also said goodbye to her sister, Gloria Bubar, brothers Bliss (Cindy) Munn of Boiestown, Arthur (Trudy) Munn of Nashwaak Bridge and Merlin Munn of British Columbia. She will also be missed by her mother-in-law, Audrey Corbett, bother in law Dwight Corbett, and sisters in law Nancy Corbett and Linda (James) LaForest.
Cora "Sissy" dearly loved and will be missed by her nieces, Karen, Nora, Mindy, Melissa, Carrie, Lacey, Dawn, Kaitlyn, Stephanie, and Natasha, Nikki, Megan, and Jennifer and her nephews Adam, Ricky, Mathew, and David along with an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends "over home" and in Woodstock. Her many great nieces and nephew also held a special piece of her heart.
Cora had a love for all children, animals, and her lord and saviour Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church in Parker Ridge, NB and attended the Woodstock Baptist Church in Woodstock NB. She spent the last years of her life working with as a flagger with NB Power under the guidance of Safety First and shared many laughs with her coworkers and enjoyed her time with them.
Cora had a great love for both communities that she called home and cared for them equally and the people in them. She was a loud force in this world and will never be forgotten. She offered her heart and an open door to anyone in need at any time.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 3, 2024, at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB from 6 to 9 PM.
Visitation on Thursday April 4, 2024 before the service at the Woodstock Baptist Church from 11-1
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday April 4, 2024, from the Woodstock Baptist Church, 694 Main Street Woodstock NB at 1PM.
Interment will be held at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to your nearest SPCA or a charity of the donor's choice.
