It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Charles Nelson Sharpe of Riceville on August 19, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 82.

Charles was born in Woodstock December 15, 1942, to the late Eugene and Jessie (Hagerman) Sharpe.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jean (Drier) Sharpe, sons Brent and Greg Sharpe (April), grandsons Wyatt Sharpe, Landon Sharpe and Liam Cloutier, sister Linda (Charles) Bell, brother Myles (Nicole) Sharpe, several Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.

Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by sister Joyce Wright and brother Glen Sharpe.

Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 22, 2025, at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday from Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2PM, interment to follow at Upper Meductic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meductic Baptist Church or Meductic Fire Department.
