Anne DeMerchant, 74, of Woodstock, NB passed away peacefully Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, surrounded by her family. Anne was born in Saint John, NB on May 11, 1949.

Anne is survived by her sisters, Susan Larlee (John), Mary Cougle (Glen), Donna Taylor (Neil), Sheila Bissonette (Denis), Rhonda DeMerchant; her brothers, Brian DeMerchant (Liz), Albert DeMerchant (Sherry) and David DeMerchant (Nancy). Anne is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and Uncle Donnie.

Anne was predeceased by her parents, Viola & Ronald DeMerchant, and her nephews Ryan Taylor and Joshua Taylor.

Visitation will take place Friday, December 22 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 PM, Carleton Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM from the Chapel.

Directly following the service the family invites you to join them for refreshments and a time to celebrate Anne's life at the Best Western, 123 Gallop Court, Woodstock.

Interment will take place in the Spring at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.

The family would like to express our thanks to Dr. Chowdhury and the nursing staff who cared for Anne while at the URV Hospital, Waterville, NB and Dr. Cameron and the Palliative Care Team at the DECH, Fredericton, NB for their excellent care and compassion.

Special thanks to Janey Farrell who was Anne's caregiver for many years but who was much more. She was a true friend.

Donations in memory of Anne can be made to the Carleton County Animal Shelter, River Valley Cancer Support Group, Woodstock Minor Hockey, or Woodstock Minor Baseball.
