Carol Diane Springer

With great sadness and much love. We announce the passing of Carol Diane (Cole) Springer, 77, of Waterville NB, who passed away suddenly at the Upper River Valley Hospital on May 19,2026.

Carol was born on May 31, 1948, in Westfield NB, she grew up in Lower Woodstock with her younger brother Dan and parents Nora (Taylor) and Basil Cole.

Carol married Weldon Springer on May 24, 1968, together they raised 3 children, Jeff (Shannon), Sheldon (Margo) and Theresa.

She was the proud grammie to Sam, Simon (Brie), Jessica (Zac), Thomas and Maddie and a beloved great grammie to Maci and Malcolm.

Besides her best friend and loving husband of 58 years, Weldon and her children and their families, Carol leaves behind her Cole family members as well as the families of her step sisters, Susan (Wayne Knorr) and Sharon Mersereau, brothers and sisters-in-law Alvin And Connie Springer, Bill and Sandra Springer, Patricia (Late Robert ) Springer, Delores (Late Joe) Palmer, Winston and Barbara Springer and their families.

Carol was predeceased by her mother and father, stepfather Lloyd Mersereau, brother Dan Cole and her mother and father-in-law, Fred and Lu Springer.

Also left to mourn are the families of the late Milton and Peggy Springer, Geraldine and Gordon Everett, Donald and Emma Jean Springer, Gerald and Juanita Springer, Delbert and June Springer and the late Carolyn and Ronnie Kearney.

Left to carry on with her legacy of love, laughter are many close friends, line dancing buddies and Carols’s Howard Brook family.

Visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville on Saturday May 23 from 1 to 3 PM with burial to follow at the Waterville United Baptist Church Cemetery.

Donations can be made to a charity of the donors’ choice.
