Obituary

It is with much sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Little (Christie) of Woodstock NB, at home on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the age of 82.

Born in McAdam, on April 25, 1941, to the late Cecil and Frances (Kyle) Christie.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Lawrence Little of Woodstock and their fur baby Bailey, children, Shelley Little, Cheryl Omvlee (Roland) Michael Little (Laurie), Stephanie Laviolette (Daryl), Stephen Little (Kelly),

9 grandchildren, Wayne Hamilton, Christopher Hamilton (Mellissa), Christina Omvlee (John), Jonathan Omvlee (Miranda), Dustin Little (Susannah), Adrian Little, Samantha Laviolette (Jon),

Jordan Little, Kaylee Little (Brody) and one great grandson Hayden Hamilton. Also her brother-in-law Carman Little (Heather), and many nephews and nieces.

Besides her parents, Carol was also predeceased by sisters Charlotte Lord, Beatrice Skala, Dorothy Goode, Helene Corey, Christine Reid, brother John (Jack) Christie.

Carol grew up in Christie Ridge and met the love of her life in high school. After marrying in 1959, they moved to Woodstock, where Lawrence began his career as a teacher.

She and Lawrence spent many weekends at swim meets, or hockey games when their kids were growing up, always cheering from the sidelines and often helping out when needed.

Carol loved to camp, both on the road in the 5th wheel or at the camp at Howard Brook. She also loved to snowmobile, or play cards late into the night, always laughing,

enjoying friends and family on many weekends. She could always find room at the table for another mouth to feed and often the yard was filled with the neighborhood children.

She loved to read and passed that love on to her children.

Carol helped run Little's Hideaway Restaurant and had a ceramic business for many years, along with the much more important roles of being wife, mother and grandmother.

She loved having her family and friends to visit. She could be found many afternoons when her grand kids were young at the Log Cabin treating them to fries. It was their special time with Nanny.

She loved and looked forward so much to the holidays, the lit up tree, the table filled with her family.

She lived a full life, and she will be missed immensely by all of us.
