Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Bryan Alvin Veysey on July 1, 2022 at his home on Plymouth Rd. Bryan is survived by: his loving wife, Joan; his six children: Sarah (Billy), Matt (Melissa), Fay (Chris), Ben (Brooke), Jessica (David), and Jaime (Sam); his thirteen grandchildren: Sydney, William, Elena, Samuel, Dorian, Henry, Jax (son of late daughter Julie, adopted by Bryan and Joan), Poppy, Lucy, Isadora, Briggs, River, and one bun in the oven; his one great granddaughter Paisley; and his siblings: Lenora (Brian), Nancy (Robert), Rhonda (Murray), and Pat (Terry). Bryan was predeceased by his father, Beryl Veysey, his mother and stepfather, Winnifred and Charles Dow, and his daughter, Julie Bernard. Professionally, Bryan was a mechanic for most of his life. Working as a foreman, since 2002, for the D.O.T. in Woodstock, NB, until retiring in June of 2017. Since retirement, he kept himself busy working as a volunteer at the Carlton Manor, working for Elections Canada, tending to his large garden, researching and writing a book about his family history, and keeping up with the ever-growing family and grandchildren which he loved dearly. For many years Bryan has dedicated himself to instructing the Firearms Safety course, where he passionately taught both young and old hunters how to safely handle and employ firearms. Personally, the greatest joy of Bryan's life was his family. He never missed an opportunity to talk and brag about the accomplishments of his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. He was one proud and much loved Husband, Dad, Papa/John Henry. Burial service will be held Sunday, July 10 at 1pm at the Fosterville, NB, cemetery for family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB
