Brenda Joyce
Thebeau
July 13, 1956 – November 14, 2024
Surrounded by her loving family, Brenda Thebeau was called home into the arms of her loving saviour on November 14, 2024. Born on July 13, 1956, in Fredericton, NB, Brenda was the second of 4 girls born to Elwood and Joyce Graham. Brenda is survived by her beloved husband Jean, her mother Joyce Graham of Springfield, son Wesley (Lori) of Woodstock, daughter Olivia (Nick) of Fredericton, granddaughters Grace (Jacob) and Lyvia (Taylor) of Woodstock, as well as her sisters Debbie Hallet (Alton) of Springfield, Kellie Graham of Halifax, Doreen Graham (Paul) of Riverview, and sisters-in-law Patricia Thebeau of Nackawic, Catherine (Gary) Richard of Moncton, and Lodianne (Normand) Pelletier of Kingston NB, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her father Elwood Graham, brother-in-law Francois Thebeau, and in laws Raymond and Lorraine Thebeau.
Growing up on the family farm in Springfield, she always told stories of the countless hours she would spend playing in the woods with her trusty K9 sidekick Tex and riding her beloved horse, Silver. A true introvert, she enjoyed her time alone, however it didn't take long for her heart to be stolen by the one whom she would go on to marry - her soulmate Jean. They would go on to have a son and a daughter together and raised them up to understand the value of hard work and the importance of family. It wasn't until later in her life when Brenda found her true calling - she was a naturally gifted artist, and her creativity blossomed through each unique piece she made. Her artwork has travelled the world, adorning the walls of homes from England to Germany.
Her faith was the foundation of her life, having grown up in a Christian household and being a valued member of her church for many years. Her passion for Christ was evident in the way she navigated life, and in the ways, she helped others. Brenda truly was a solid rock for everyone who knew her. She was our voice of reason, our biggest cheerleader and our confidant. To know her was to love her, and oh how loved she will always be. Selfless, gentle and patient, she was a truly remarkable woman whose memory will live on through those whose lives she greatly impacted. God's timing is a mystery, and while we may not understand, we find peace in His promise of life after death, and we rejoice knowing that she has found her place in Heaven.
"A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "grieve not for me". Remember the good times, the laughter, the song. The Good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and the sun will surely shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest, remembering all how truly I was blessed. Continue our traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I will miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin until that day comes when we are all together again". We love you.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral, only a celebration of life at Unifor Local 219 Hall - 9 Clark Crescent, Nackawic NB, E6G 2N8 on November 23rd from 1pm until 4pm.
The family have suggested donations to the River Valley Cancer Support Group, who do so much for people and families in our community battling this horrible disease. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at URVH 2East for their kindness and compassion during Brenda's final days.
