Brenda Lou Phillips, 64, of Richmond Settlement NB passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville NB. Brenda was born in Woodstock NB on October 10, 1952 daughter of the late Russell and Marilyn McElhinney.

Brenda Lou McElhinney Phillips was a well-known and well-loved woman in Woodstock. She was a hairdresser by trade, but she had an artistic flair that was showcased in her paintings and drawings. Her medium of choice was watercolors but she dabbled in acrylics as well. She had many art shows of her works and would gift painting to family and friends.

Brenda was known for her home made gifts whether food, socks, quilts or other Knick knacks. Her home was open to all with a tea or coffee being offered as soon as you stepped through the door. She was known for helping others in need in the community and was a supporter of any local benefits. She had a generous heart and a kind, loving spirit. She was one of a kind and will be missed by so many. A loving mother, sister, friend is gone from this earth but shall remain forever in our hearts. R.I P. Brenda Lou Phillips.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Laura Webber, sisters, Judy Henry (Paul), Deborah Barnes, brothers, Ray (Shauna), Kenny (Amelia), nieces, nephews and cousins.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.

Committal service and interment will be held at a later date.
