Obituary

It is with much sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Brenda Louise (Watson) Keilty of Canterbury NB on Wednesday July 19th at the Upper River Valley Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 65.

Brenda was born in Woodstock NB on November 17, 1957, to the late Everett and Gladys (Fraser) Watson.

Brenda is survived by her husband Patrick, her daughter Leah (Jamie) Cummings, and her absolute favorite person in the world, her grandson, Colin Cummings.

Sisters Sharon (Curtis) Johnson, Deborah Watson, Brothers Malcom (Deborah) Watson, Stephen (Hazel) Watson. Many nieces and nephews, and special friends.

Besides her parents Brenda was predeceased by a sister, Norma.

Brenda will always be remembered by her green thumb, her ability to find the best yard sale items and antiques, and how much she loved her life and her family as she told us many times, each day.

She always had plants on the windowsill trying to get something to root. Every spring she was excited to see the first hummingbirds and monarchs of the season, even raising some butterflies with her grandson. They were frequently found together by the pond looking for frogs or salamanders; the thought of seeing a snake, one of the few animals she was scared of, never held her back. Finding beauty in nature and the simple thing's in life is a gift she has passed on to her family that we will always cherish.

There will be no public visitation for funeral service. Donations in Brenda's memory can be made to the River Valley Cancer Support Group or the Carleton Animal Shelter.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB.
