Blair Vincent Dickinson

It is with much sadness that the family of Blair Dickinson announce his passing on Sept 12, 2026 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, after a valiant 3 year battle with cancer.

Blair was born in Woodstock on June 25, 1952 and spent the whole of his life living in Lakeville, New Brunswick.

Blair was predeceased by his mother, Mildred (Carvell) Dickinson; father, Raymond Dickinson and brother, Terry Dickinson.

His is survived by his partner, Deborah Robinson; his brothers David (Georgette), Ronald (Louise) and sister, Lorraine (Wayne) Crandlemire; nieces and a nephew.

Blair started work, as a young boy, at his grandfather’s lumber mill in Lakeville where he developed a love of numbers and a talent for organization and attention to detail that was the foundation for his lifelong career starting at Day & Ross and continuing until his retirement from Big Dog Equipment in 2016.

Blair was a kind, caring and generous man. He loved all things pertaining to golf and loved to travel. He was an original member of the Lakeville Fire Department serving 40+ years as an engineer/pump operator, and record keeper/treasurer. Blair was also a devoted worker in his community. He was a member of the By the Lake Community Centre, serving as Treasurer for many years and played an integral role in the renovations, up grades and upkeep of the Centre.

He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday September 19, 2026 at Carleton Funeral Home  337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB from 1 to 3 PM.

A private family interment will be held at 3:30
