Betty Lorrine Markey, 65, of Debec, NB, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at The Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville, NB. Betty was born in Houlton, Maine on December 31, 1942. Betty is survived by her mother, Pauline Folsom, Ohio, daughters; Sherry Watson (Jeff), Debec, NB, Laurie Markey (Aubrey Boone), Jacksontown, NB, sons; Chris (Cheryl), Presque Isle, Maine, Paul (Camile), Lindsay, NB, grandchildren; Corey Markey, Jenny Markey, Matthew Kirkland, Hannah Boone, five great grandchildren, sister, Connie Lucas, brother, Roger Folsom, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was predeceased by her father, Allenby, husband, Thomas, brother, Donald and one great grand child. Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 11 AM from St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church, Lakeville, NB with Fr. Bill Brennan as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy. Due to furnace troubles the funeral service for Betty will now be held at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church at 11 AM Monday. Service Information
