Betty Marie Ketch

It is with heavy yet grateful hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Marie Ketch on Saturday October 17, 2026, at Carleton Manor in Woodstock at the age of 90.

Betty was born on December 20, 1935, in New Denmark NB to the late Soren and Bessie (Carlson) Hansen.

Betty is survived by her children, Joyce (Richard) Burpee, Ted (Anita) Ketch, Jerry (Ann) Ketch, Danny (Joyce) Ketch, Julie (Dana) Sherwood, Faith (Marc) Schriver and Peter (Tara) Ketch, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, sister Jetta Christensen, sisters in law Alice Hansen, Janet Alexander, Ruth Elliott and Val Ketch, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides her parents, Soren and Bessie, Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur Ketch in 2025, sisters, Amy Merriam (Dick), Bernice Brinkman (Simon), brothers, Harmon Hansen and Gordon Hansen (Alice) and many brother and sister in laws whom she treasured dearly.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Carleton Manor for the loving care provided to our mother; she grew to treasure many of you like her own.

Visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville on Tuesday October 20, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 21 at 2PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be live streamed for anyone who is unable to attend.

Interment will be held in Jacksontown Cemetery following the service.

If people wish to make a donation in mom’s memory, the family suggests the Jacksontown Cemetery.
