On December 22, 2019, surrounded by family, Barbara Jean (Annandale) Adams left this world to be with the angels.  Barb was born in Toronto April 28, 1930 to Isabelle and Walter Annandale.

She was an amazing mother to Kerry O'Toole (Debbie), Shawn O'Toole (Cheryl), Kathy O'Toole and Christine Adams Thomas (Roy).  She will be missed by her grandchildren Nathaniel, Erin, Ryan, Katie and Bronwyn and her brothers Bob and William Annandale.  She was predeceased by her husband Tom, her parents and her son Kim O'Toole.

As a young girl Barb wanted to become an artist. Although she was not trained professionally, she loved to paint.  She especially reflected her joy of nature, flowers and birds in her paintings.  She was an avid reader.

Barb worked at many jobs from the time she was a teenager until her retirement.  This included working at a University, working as a cashier, to being the manager at The Woodstock New Brunswick tourist bureau. She will, however, be best known by those of a certain age for owning and operating the famous Red Shed takeout in Grafton (many people still mention the subs and pizzas they ate there).

Barb lived her life reflecting the true meaning of kindness.   No matter whom she met, she would always find the good in them.  She never met a stranger and welcomed anyone who came to her door with open arms.

At Barb's request there will be no funeral.  Barb always had a cup of tea ready for visitors to her home so, in her honour, family and friends can join us for a Tea Party at The Connell House , 128 Connell St, Woodstock on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2-4.
