Austin (Jug) Joseph Shannon, 72, of Jacksonville NB passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville NB. Jug was born in Houlton Maine on August 1, 1948 son of the late Hazen and Florence Shannon.

Jug is survived by his wife, Carol Shannon, daughters, Lisa LeBlanc (Don), Michelle Shannon, son, Wade Shannon (Karen), grandchildren, Kyle Shannon, Sinclaire Murray, sisters, Ursula Greenlaw, Rosemary James, brothers, Hazen JR., Norman, Gerald, special cousin, Arthur, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Jug was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine and infant, brother and sister.

Jug was volunteer fire fighter and with the Ground Search and Rescue. Jug loved to drive truck.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 1 PM to 2 PM. A private service will be held. Interment will be held in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Liver Foundation.
