It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Aubrey Nelson DeLong of Upper Woodstock on Thursday March 30, 2023 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 86.

Aubrey was born in Upper Woodstock on May 20, 1936, to the late Leslie and Evelyn (Phillips) Delong.

Survived by his son Neil (Jennifer) DeLong of Bedell , Daughter Julie Marie (William) Walker of Fredericton, Grandsons, Aubrey (Nathan), Aaron, William (Liam), Joel, one great grandson Nolan DeLong, Sister Ruth Irene Tedone, Brothers Wayne (Margaret) and Brian (Debbie), also several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides his parents, Aubrey was predeceased by his wife Delores (Schriver), daughter Shianne Lynn Delong, brothers Bernie and Carl DeLong and brother in law Joe Tedone..

Aubrey worked most of his life as a carpenter, building houses throughout Carleton County, even after he retired , he never laid the hammer down until last year He also worked a few years with Department of Transportation on the bridge crew in the 1980's.

In keeping with Aubrey's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service, If so desired, donations in Aubrey's memory can be made to the Lower Brighton Cemetery Fund.
