It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Arthur James Hamilton, of Hodgdon Road, on Saturday July 1, 2023, at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 83 surrounded by his loved ones.

Arthur was born in Woodstock on October 15, 1939, to the late James and Grace (Hayes) Hamilton. Arthur Hamilton was known best for his years spent as a mechanic. He loved being outdoors and you could find him doing firewood, hunting and fishing or spending time with his family.

Arthur is survived by and terribly missed by his children Grace Hamilton (Darrold) Woodstock NB, Dustin Hamilton (Brittany) Woodstock NB, Lynn Tomah (Mark) Woodstock NB, Mary Linton (Keith) Plaster Rock NB, Deborah Hamilton (Scott) Riverglade NB, James Hamilton (Catherine), Petitcodiac NB, Judy MacLeod (Scott) Corn Hill NB, Jeffrey Hamilton (Jolene) Petitcodiac NB; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is also survived by three sisters, Mary Duffield of Woodstock, N.B., Greta Jackson of Cambridge, Ontario , Judy Riordon of Stratford, Ontario. Two brothers, John Hamilton of Woodstock, N.B. , Wallace Hamilton of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

He is pre-deceased by sisters Margaret Jacques , Marie Hartley and brothers Burton Hamilton , Louis Hamilton.

There will be a public visitation on Saturday July 8th at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road from 11 AM to 1PM.

A private family committal will follow.
