Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Currie Bannister of Northampton NB. To those who knew him well he was Chainsaw, Art, Uncle Art, Grampy, or Dad. Known by many names and loved by many more. Art was the guy that you went to if you were in need. Always the one to lend a helping hand in anyway he could. He was very active in his community and could often be seen at any community events. Art loved having his family around him and to celebrate those special occasions. Many an evening were spent at his kitchen table with family and friends for a meal, a laugh, and a game of cards. He often said there is always room for one more. Art devoted the last years of his life caring for his family and his one true love. Art is survived by his wife of almost 55 years Marjorie, Son Allison (Emily) Bannister, Daughter Amy (Derrick) Norrad, Grandchildren, Ward, Dean, Caleb, Jonathan, Aaliyah, Malachi, Kelsey (John), Micky, Damon, and Greatgrandchildren Liam and Emmett. Art is predeceased by his parents Harold (Ethel) Bannister, Brothers, Joe, Johnny, Jimmy, George, Clarence, Sister Bernice, In-laws Thomas (Barbara) Curtis, Brothers-in-law Sherman Everett, Robert Gray, and Sister-in-Law Betty. A burial will be held at the Pembroke Cemetery on Saturday, May 14th at 11am, A Celebration of Life will follow at the Northampton Recreation center. For those who wish, donations in Arthur's memory may be made to the Pembroke cemetery, or the Northampton rec center
