It is with great sadness that the Currie family announces the passing of Arletta Idella (Cheney) Currie, on January 20, 2023 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 88.

Arlette was born on September 1, 1934, to the late Earl and Ruth (Carpenter) Cheney.

Arletta is survived by her two sons and daughter in laws Larry (Susan) Currie of Woodstock and Dale (Natalie) Currie of Debec, five grandchildren, Beth (Jon) Pond, Michael (Danielle) Currie, Matthew (Ashley) Currie, Chelsea (Nathan) Stokes and Logan (Gina) Currie, along with her great grandchildren, Harrison, Charlotte, Connor, Olivia, Emery, Bowen, Jasper, Oliver and Avery.

Arletta is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law Hattie Cheney, Nan Miller and special cousin Arlene Burpee.

Besides her parents, Arletta was predeceased by her husband Ronald Currie, her grand daughter Haley Marie Currie, her brother Lawrence Cheney, brother-in-law Burns (Nina) Currie, Roy (Gwen) Currie, Louis (Wynn) Currie, Eddie (Joyce)Currie, Junior (Marjorie) Currie, Sister in laws, Doris Harbison, Nellie (Leonard) Wilson, Marg (Earl) Phybus, Jean Cook.

Visitation will be held at Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road on Monday January 23, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday January 24, 2023, from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2PM. Interment will be held in the spring at Woodstock Rural Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the McKenzie Corner United Church or Trinity United Church in Debec.
