The passing of Anna Pearle (Wheeler) Saunders, wife of the late Clayton Saunders of New Bridge, NB, occurred at the Carleton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday April 11, 2006 at the age of 89. Born in Woodstock, NB, Anna was the daughter of the late William and Claudine Wheeler. Anna is survived her children: Lawrence (Jayne), Yarmouth, NS, Lorraine Ulch, London, On, Janet Saunders, Grafton, NB, Stephen (Brenda), Grafton, NB, Cathy Linder (Gordon), London, ON, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, brothers: John, Leonard, sisters: Iva Jones, Zula Galeranue, Minnie Blackie, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Anna was predeceased by a daughter Barbara Langille, two grandson's sons Shaun, Wade, sisters: Clara Billings, Viola Demerchant, Janet Kerrigan, brothers: Harold, Edgar, and Orville Wheeler. The family will receive visitors at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Thursday, April 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will held from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel Friday, April 14 at 2 PM with Rev. Eric MacKinnon officiating. Interment will be in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery at a later date.
