It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Allen Edward Carmichael, age 57 of Woodstock, N.B. Allen passed away at his home on Friday, April 15, 2016. Born on February 10, 1959 in Bath, N.B., he was the son of Paul and the late Jean (McAuley) Carmichael.

Always interested in others, Allen had an ability to bring out the best in those who knew him. His sociability and his passion for dates and numbers were highly impressive. His life was blessed by the wonderful love and care of Cathy Laskey and by the fellowship of the large circle of family and friends that her home provided.

Allen will be sadly missed by his father Paul Carmichael, Grafton; his brother Raymond (Valerie) Carmichael, Williamstown; his sister Sandra (Bernard) Bourque, Campobello Island; his loving caregiver and friend Cathy Laskey (Sam Johnson), Woodstock, and family: Corey (Nicole) Laskey, Jamie Laskey, Ray Desroches and Debbie Ginson; his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother Jean (McAuley) Carmichael in 2011.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carleton Funeral Home, Jacksonville, from where a time of visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 2:00 p.m., Murray Whitehouse officiating. Interment will take place at the Marne Cemetery (Canterbury) following the service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Western Valley District Special Olympics Program.
