It is with much sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden death of Alexander "Wayne" Messervey of Woodstock on Saturday July 22, 2023, at the age of 64.

Wayne was born in Stephensville Crossing Newfoundland on November 25, 1958, to the late Wallace and Virginia (Bennett) Messervery.

Wayne his survived by spouse Cecile (Ritchie) Messervery, Daughter Amy (Messervey) Kirkbride, Granddaughters Haylee Messervey and Ashley Kirkbride, Sisters Donna, Debbie, Bonnie and Families, Brothers Johhny, Bobby, Marty, Perry, Glenn and Families, many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Besides his parents Wayne was predeceased by Brothers Merle, Sammy, Ozzy, Jerry and Bradley, mother and father in-law Doug and Betty Ritchie, Sisters-in law Shirley (Ritchie) Hawkes and Barb (Ritchie) Grant, Brother – in laws Paul, Ralph and Kenny Ritchie, Niece Sheri (Hawkes) Little.

Wayne made his mark in life and on all that knew and loved him. He was a huge presence in lives of his friends and family, and his daughter and grand girls meant everything to him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 1 to 3 PM, Followed directly by funeral service at 3PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
