Albert Johannes Luimes of Skiff Lake passed away on Friday August 23rd, 2019 surrounded by his family at the Upper River Valley Hospital.  Born on May 23rd,1934 in Aalten Holland, to the late Rudolf and Hendrika (Sellink) Luimes.

Albert is survived by his loving wife Alice (Vandemheen) of 59 years, and his children, Carolyn (Carl) Munro, Elizabeth (Greg Harvey), Allan (Kim), and Glendon (Tanya).

He was a proud Grampie/Opa to Jeremy (Jenica), Erin (Max), Vanessa (Jarrod), Alexander 'AJ' (Shelby), Shawn, Eric (Sonja), Will and Paige, Along with his special great grandchildren Raelynn, Dax, Lawson and Felix.  Albert is also survived by a sister Rita and a brother Henk.

Albert was also predeceased by Sisters Linda, Sina, Diane and Brothers Gerrit and John.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Monday, August 26th, 2019 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 27th, 2019 at 2 PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at the Marne Cemetery.
