Ada Fearn
Gibson-Grant

The family of Ada Fearn (Young) Gibson-Grant is sad to announce the loss of their dear mother, grand mother (aka Bob) and great grand mother. Her death took place February 6, 2026, at Carleton Manor in Woodstock, NB.
Ada was born January 26, 1934, the daughter of Reginald and Pearl Young of Bloomfield, Carleton Co., N. B. She was the last surviving member of that family, having been predeceased by her sister Hazel Young, brother Ernest (Eleanor), Earl (Margaret) and Alfred (Rena) Young, her husband Richard Gibson and her second husband Fulton Grant.
Ada is survived by her three children, William (Theresa) Gibson, Audrey (Cleo) Gervais and Ann Marie (Roy) Sharpe. Ada was predeceased by her two sons Blair and Andrew Gibson. Ada (aka Bob) leaves her four grandsons Scott Gibson, Mitchell (Jaime)Gibson, Kyle (Emma) Sharpe and Kirby (Jenna) Sharpe and her pride and joy great grandchildren, Samantha, Gage, Lennon and Andi and nieces and nephews.
Mom worked for thirty years with Atlantic Wholesalers |(Save Easy) in Woodstock, retiring in 1995.
Ada was an active member of the United Church of Canada in Jacksonville. She enjoyed curling, golf and playing bridge with her slipper club girlfriends. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
In keeping with Ada's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service, interment will take place at a later date.
If so desired, donations in Ada's memory can be made to the Jacksonville United Church of Canada.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Carleton Manor for the excellent care they provided mom with and support given to her family.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, N.B.
