It is with broken hearts and much sadness that we announce the sudden death of Matthew John Richardson of Grafton on Wednesday June 21, 2023, at the age of 42.

Matt was born in Woodstock on January 29, 1981, to Laurie and Lynn (McElwain) Richardson of Grafton NB.

Survived by his parents Laurie and Lynn, Brother Randy (Beth) Richardson of Fredericton NB.

Matt was a people person, the chance to have a chat and make a joke with someone was what he looked forward to. A passionate fan of the Maple Leafs, wrestling, and music he always wanted to share these passions with others.

Matt was a passionate animal lover. No matter where or when he would make friends with whatever animal was around. His kitties were always very well fed and very well loved.

When Matt said he didn't like you that is when you know he cared the most. He could be a curmudgeon but that meant he loved you, and we loved him back.

Drink an Alpine, take the scenic route down a dirt road, play some loud punk rock, be with the people you care about and remember him. He left us too soon and we will never stop loving him.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service at this time, A celebration of Life will be held at a later date,

If so desired, donation to the Carleton Animal Shelter in Matts memory would be appreciated by the family.
